Company History
Harry Rushing and Larry Gilbert established Dixie Safe & Lock in 1974 as a partnership. The original business plan was to be a provider of services for safes and locks.
1982: Dixie incorporated.
1984: Dixie moves its offices to its present location at 7920 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas 77017.
1987: Dixie Electronic Controls was created (dba Dixie) to serve customers needing access controls, burglar alarms, and CCTV equipment and installation.
1995: Dixie adds smoke detector and fire alarm services
